Your design. Our window-covering expertise.

Bring your room concept to Morningside. We help interior designers choose fabrics, drapery, blinds and shades, then coordinate the window details that bring the design together. Our Edmonton workroom makes custom drapery and Roman shades; Calgary projects can begin with a remote consultation.

Keep the design yours.

You lead the room. We help with the fabric, lining, track and shade choices that affect how it feels and works. Your client gets a considered result without having to make every window decision alone.

Your fabric. Our workroom.

Custom drapery and Roman shades are made in our Edmonton workroom. Choose from our fabric houses or ship your own fabric to us. We fabricate the finished pieces and deliver them to you or directly to your client.

More than drapery.

Bring blinds, shades and motorized coverings into the same conversation. We carry Hunter Douglas, Alta, Graber, Elite, Maxxmar and Blinds by Vertican, so the room does not have to start with one manufacturer.

Working together

Window details should support the room.

A beautiful fabric is only part of the decision. Daytime light, evening privacy and the way a door opens all affect the finished result. We help you compare the options early, so drapery, shades and hardware feel like part of your design—not something added at the end.

  1. 01

    Start with your room concept.

Share the mood, palette and rooms you are designing. Plans and photographs help us understand the windows; you do not need a finished window-treatment specification to begin. Tell us whether you want material advice, workroom fabrication or a wider supply-and-installation discussion.

  2. 02

    See the materials together.

Compare fabrics, shade finishes and light control in an Edmonton appointment or a remote discussion. We help narrow the choices and review how the layers work together. Your design direction stays central while we work through practical fit, operation and care.

  3. 03

Bring the approved design to life.

We confirm the selected products and the work included in your quote. Measuring, fabrication, hardware and installation responsibilities are agreed before production. You stay involved in the design decisions while our team handles the window-covering work within the agreed scope.

Working together

Bring your own fabric. We’ll make it yours.

Send your chosen textile to our Edmonton facility. We turn it into finished drapery or Roman shades, ready for your project.

The fabric stays your choice.

Already found the right textile for your client? Our Customer’s Own Material service lets you keep that choice and use our workroom for fabrication.

We review the fabric, lining and intended treatment together before confirming the quote and quantity. Your design stays central, from the selected textile to the finished piece.

Ship it to our facility.

Your supplier can send the approved fabric to our Edmonton facility, or you can arrange the shipment yourself. Receiving details are confirmed with your order.

We connect the material to your project and make the agreed drapery or Roman shades. You do not need to source a different fabric to work with us.

Delivered to you—or your client.

Choose delivery to your studio, business or directly to your client. We agree the destination and delivery arrangements with you, so the finished work goes where your project needs it.

You keep the client relationship; our workroom takes care of the fabrication. Measuring, hardware and installation can be discussed separately for the scope you need.

Working together

Fabric with a purpose.

Choose for the room, not just the swatch.

Drapery that belongs in the room.

Sheers soften daylight. Lined drapery adds privacy and a fuller finish. We help compare the fabrics against your palette, the window size and the way your client uses the room.

The heading and track are chosen with the fabric so the finished panels feel intentional.

Explore the options

Roman shades with a tailored finish.

A Roman shade brings fabric to a window without full-length panels. It can stand alone or sit beneath drapery where the design calls for both.

Our workroom helps with fabric and lining choices, with folds and operation suited to the opening.

Fabric houses worth exploring.

If you are still choosing, our fabric range includes Alendel, Maxwell, Maharam, JF, Ennis, Unique Fine Fabrics and Medline.

Compare texture, colour and light control against your room concept. Whether the fabric comes from us or your own supplier, the finished treatment should belong in your design.

Working together

A complete window, not competing layers.

Combine the look your client wants with the light control they need.

Blinds and shades worth comparing.

Roller and solar shades offer a simple finish; cellular shades give a softer look with an insulating structure. Wood and faux-wood blinds offer adjustable slats.

We compare the categories against your room concept and explain where a different product would work better, rather than forcing one range into every room.

Explore the options

A darker bedroom. A brighter living room.

The same fabric does not need to do every job. Bedrooms may benefit from blackout shades with drapery; living spaces may call for filtered light and evening privacy.

We help you set a different light-control choice for each room while keeping the finishes connected.

Explore the options

Motorization without an afterthought.

Motorized coverings can make large or hard-to-reach windows easier to use. We discuss compatible products, control preferences and power requirements while the design is still taking shape.

That gives the builder or electrician time to plan any required work before the finished room is ready.

Support that fits your practice.

Keep the client relationship clear and the window decisions manageable.

Project pricing, clearly explained.

Your quote identifies the chosen products and the support you want from Morningside. Fabrication-only work and a broader supply-and-installation project are different scopes.

We discuss current trade arrangements with your business. There is no published percentage discount or assumed account term to work around.

Edmonton appointments. Calgary conversations.

Our Edmonton showroom is appointment-only. Bring a client or review materials with us yourself; we can also begin a Calgary project by phone or video.

We discuss samples, measuring, delivery and installation for your project address. You’ll know how the work will be handled before the project moves ahead.

Help after the room is finished.

Clients still have questions once they move in. We can explain operation and care, and discuss repair or cleaning when a covering needs attention.

Product warranties and service work are handled according to the selected covering. Your client has a window-covering team to contact rather than a generic handover sheet.

Interior Designers FAQs

Common questions

Answers for homeowners, designers, property managers and builders. Not listed here? Email or call and we will help.

Do you work directly with interior designers?

Yes. Morningside works with interior designers on drapery, Roman shades, blinds and shades. You lead the room design; we help with material selection and the window-covering scope you need.

Can I bring my client to choose fabrics?

Yes. Book an appointment at our Edmonton showroom to review fabrics and finishes together. We can also begin with your design direction before a client joins the discussion.

Can you make drapery from a fabric I have selected elsewhere?

Yes. Ship your own approved fabric to our Edmonton facility and we fabricate the agreed drapery or Roman shades. We review the textile, quantity and construction before confirming your order, then deliver the finished work to you or directly to your client.

Can my fabric supplier ship directly to your workroom?

Yes. Your supplier can ship the fabric to our facility for your confirmed project. We provide the receiving details with your order so the shipment is connected to the correct fabrication job.

Can you deliver directly to my client?

Yes. Finished drapery or Roman shades can be delivered to you or directly to your client. We agree the delivery address and arrangements with you as part of the project; installation is a separate scope to discuss where needed.

Can you supply both drapery and branded shades?

Yes. We make drapery and Roman shades and supply blinds and shades from the six brands we carry. We help compare the layers together, with compatible fit and operation reviewed for the chosen products.

Do you help with motorized window coverings?

Yes. We discuss product-compatible controls and power requirements early. Electrical work and any wider smart-home integration are agreed with the appropriate project professionals.

Do you support Calgary interior designers?

Calgary projects can start by phone or video with our Edmonton team. We discuss samples, measuring, delivery and installation for the project. Our established showroom is in Edmonton.

Are trade discounts the same for every project?

No fixed discount is published. We discuss your business and scope, then provide the applicable project pricing and terms. Products, fabrication, hardware and included services affect the quote.

Can you work from plans before a renovation is finished?

Yes, plans are useful for an early conversation about products and design. Final sizes and mounting details are confirmed before manufacture; a drawing-based discussion is not a substitute for approved dimensions.

Can I use fabrication-only support?

Yes, discuss the workroom scope you need. We agree who handles final measurements, hardware and fitting so your quote covers the right work without assuming you need every service.

How do I start a designer partnership?

Book a free consultation and tell us about your practice and current project. Bring your room ideas or selected materials. We will talk through the products and support that would be useful.

How To Prepare

Virtual | In-store

To make the most of your consultation, it helps to have a general sense of your window or door width, ceiling height and how you would like the covering to operate. Photos of the space are helpful but not required. If you are early in the process, that is fine. We will guide you through it.
